<p> </p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline">PYP Danish Teacher – International School of Hellerup</span></p><p>We are looking to employ a positive, energetic and well-organized Danish Teacher to join our school in the PYP.</p><p>International School of Hellerup (ISH) was founded in 2009 to meet the needs of the International English-speaking community in Copenhagen. We welcome over 500 students representing more than 70 nationalities and we offer the three main International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).</p><p>The role of the PYP Danish teacher will be to implement the programme, develop curriculum and facilitate a high-quality learning environment for the students. This role is a 68% permanent position commencing in late October 2019. You will be teaching students in PYP1-5.</p><p>Essential criteria:</p><p>· Proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English</p><p>· Experience of teaching and learning strategies in a range of PYP grade levels</p><p>· Experience in teaching all phases: Danish Beginners (Language Acquisition), Intermediate and Advanced.</p><p>· IB PYP experience (or commitment to its philosophy), and evidence of applied IB professional development</p><p>The successful candidate will:</p><p>· Have a high fluency in written and spoken Danish and English</p><p>· Demonstrate strong collaborative and interpersonal skills</p><p>· Have relevant teaching qualifications and proven teaching experience, preferably in an IB school</p><p>· Have strong classroom management skills</p><p>· Model an inquiry approach to teaching and learning</p><p>· Have knowledge and/or experience of, and a commitment to, the educational philosophies of the International Baccalaureate, specifically the Primary Years Programme</p><p>· Teach the equivalent of 17 x 45-minute lessons per week</p><p>· Design, deliver and evaluate lessons which stimulate and motivate student learning</p><p>· Work and plan in collaboration within curricular teams</p><p>· Be caring and compassionate</p><p>· Enjoy teaching and working in an internationally minded environment</p><p>To apply: please email your CV and a letter of application to the Primary School Principal Stef Fleet <span style="text-decoration:underline"><a href=http://mailto:sfleet@ish.dk target=undefined>sfleet@ish.dk</a></span> </p><p><span style="font-style:italic">Please note that we will continually evaluate applications and interview candidates on a regular basis. </span></p><p><span style="font-style:italic">We therefore encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible and no later than 15 November 2019. </span></p>
