pedagogical leadership and management of all aspects of learning and teaching in the Secondary school (Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11), particularly those identified in the School’s Strategic Plan. ARIS Secondary campus • Be sensitive towards, and familiar with, a diverse range of student learning needs • Be sensitive towards cross-cultural issues and understanding • Demonstrate success modeling of the ARIS values and characteristics. </p><p><span style="font-weight:bold">Curriculum Development:</span> </p><p>• Ensure that copies of IBO MYP publications are available to all staff. • Maintain a record of completed planners. • Participate in the development of the school&#x27;s educational strategy. • Analysis of MYP assessments • Keep up-to-date with educational research and best practice • Assume the responsibility for the administration of the MYP curriculum • Document Scope and sequence • Ensure the development of unit planners in Managebac • Make sure documentation is kept well organized in Managebac • Mapping of Approaches to Learning and Global Contexts • Work closely with the HOS to implement/drive pedagogical change and organize formal procedures in preparation for moderation, certification and program authorization and evaluation • Attend faculty collaboration meeting, arrange and lead workshops with colleagues as required. • Attend collaboration meeting with PYP and DP coordinator focusing on the IB continuum • Oversee teaching and learning in the school and monitor the work of facilitators to ensure curriculum is delivered effectively to all pupils • Implement baseline testing, collect data and review tracking and monitoring measures • Conduct lesson observations (non-scheduled) and learning walks • Oversee arrangement for controlled assessments and coursework • Oversee arrangements for reports • Oversee and improve school marking, monitoring and assessment • Oversee arrangement for controlled assessments and coursework • Oversee, introduce and support study support/ study clinics/ study buddies • Coordinate and manage prep time • Provide guidance and support to staff to implement the MYP, including developing their units, using the MYP Development:</span> </p><p>• Ensure that staff is made aware of professional development opportunities. • Identify professional development needs and opportunities on and off campus. • Keep a record training opportunities on and off campus, and working with leadership team to determine Professional Development priorities • Support teaching staff in developing their understanding of MYP planning, preparation, teaching, learning and assessment. • Meet with staff on a scheduled basis to provide support in teaching, assessing and learning. • Develop in-service structures for new team members • Develop and facilitate ‘in-house’ workshops for staff to ensure implementation of best practices • Conduct lesson observations (non-scheduled) and learning walks </p><p><span style="font-weight:bold">Resource Management:</span> </p><p>• Assist and encourage the building up of resources to support the units of inquiry • Identify, with students, worthwhile activities within and outside the school and allow students to engage in varied, challenging and meaningful activities both inside and outside school • Planning the MYP in cooperation with the HOS including; strategic and action planning, allocation of resources and establishment of priorities to ensure continuous program improvement. • Assist the HOS in identifying resource needs </p><p><span style="font-weight:bold">Communication:</span> </p><p>• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all staff members. • Conduct parent information sessions. • Publish articles pertaining to the programme in the school newsletter. • Circulate all relevant information received from the IBO. • Prepare and submit documentation required for authorization and evaluation. • Ensure that all requirements of the IBO concerning the programme are met. • Act as the liaison between the school and the IBO. • Provide outreach to the wider MYP community through OCC discussion forums, e-mail and school visits. • Establish/maintain links with other MYP schools in the region. • Involvement in the network of MYP Coordinators in independent schools • Establish links with local community in and around Accra • Oversee the 3 way conference and parent consultations with the Facilitators • Advise and guide parents on curriculum issues • Coordinate the receiving option choices from parents and
