Brief Description of Position:

Dove International Montessori School is seeking a passionate and experienced IB Science Teacher to join our growing secondary school Programme, complementing our authorized MYP and candidate DP programme. The ideal candidate is a skilled Science educator with strong subject knowledge, a commitment to inquiry-based teaching, and the ability to inspire students through conceptual understanding, practical investigation, and real-world application—aligned with the philosophy and standards of the International Baccalaureate.

Key Responsibilities:

Design learning experiences that develop strong scientific thinking: inquiry, modelling, data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving. Guide students through eAssessment (EA) requirements, ensuring strong research skills, academic integrity, and assessment readiness. Support interdisciplinary connections where relevant (e.g., Maths, Design, TOK links, scientific ethics, and real-world contexts). Use assessment data to differentiate instruction and support varied learner profiles. Contribute to a positive classroom culture that supports student wellbeing, agency, and high expectations. Collaborate with the DP Coordinator and team on curriculum planning, standardisation, and programme development. Communicate clearly with students and families regarding progress, expectations, and pathways.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in either Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Teaching certification/license.

• Proven experience teaching IB MYP/DP(or strong experience in advanced secondary Physicss, Chemistry, Biology with willingness to train in IB).

• Strong understanding of inquiry-based teaching and effective assessment practices.

• Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Confidence with lab safety, experimental design, and practical investigations.

• Fluency in English required (French is an advantage).
