Aalesund International School (AaIS) is a young and growing school located in Aalesund, Norway. The school is an authorized PYP/MYP International Baccalaureate school and has around 150 students.

AaIS is looking to employ a positive, energetic and creative Primary Years Teacher to join our dynamic team.

PYP Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Primary Years Program (PYP) teacher to join our school from August 2025. Experience with the International Baccalaureate program is an advantage.

The role is a 100% permanent role.

PYP Teacher Qualifications and Qualities Required

Experience with the International Baccalaureate program and commitment to its educational philosophies

Preferably a Masters degree in addition to recognized teaching degree.
Ability to meet high expectations of the school community (students, colleagues, parents, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to build and maintain close relationships
Strong ICT skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Integrity and a strong work ethic
A high level of cultural awareness and international-mindedness
Reports to the Principal and General manager
