Aalesund International School (AaIS) is a young and growing school located in the scenic coastal city of Aalesund, Norway. The school is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Year Programme (MYP), and currently serves approximately 140 students.

PYP Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, motivated, an creative upper Primary Years program homeroom teacher to join our dynamic team effective August 1, 2026. This is a 100% permanent position, teaching students within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Experience with the PYP is considered an advantage. Due to timing, preference will be given to those holding an EU passport.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

Relevant teaching qualifications; a Master’s degree is preferred
Experience with or a strong interest in the International Baccalaureate program
Commitment to student-centred learning and educational excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong ICT skills and adaptability to digital tools
High cultural awareness and international-mindedness
A strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to collaborative teamwork
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Reports directly to the Principal and General Manager
