Aalesund International School (AaIS) is looking for a committed and creative PerformingArts Teacher to join our professional and enthusiastic teaching team. Located in beautiful Ålesund, Norway, AaIS is a vibrant and growing IB World School,
offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) to approximately 140 students from diverse backgrounds.
Position:
Due to unexpected family relocation, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational, motivated, and creative Primary Years program homeroom teacher (Year 5) to join our dynamic team effective October 1, 2025. This is a 100% permanent position, teaching students within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Experience with the PYP is considered an advantage. Due to timing,
preference will be given to those holding an EU passport.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
Relevant teaching qualifications; a Master’s degree is preferred
Experience with or a strong interest in the International Baccalaureate program
Commitment to student-centred learning and educational excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong ICT skills and adaptability to digital tools
High cultural awareness and international-mindedness
A strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to collaborative teamwork
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Reports directly to the Principal and General Manager
