Østerbro International School (ØIS) is located in the suburb of Hellerup in Copenhagen and offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP.
ØIS is a private educational establishment recognised by and subject to Danish law and receives a subsidy from the Danish State.
Our primary aim is to identify and appreciate the unique potential of each pupil, and develop it to the full in a caring, comfortable and happy environment.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced Music Teacher to join our Upper Primary and Middle School Music department. In this role, you will implement the PYP and MYP programmes, contribute to curriculum development, and teach to the objectives of the subject.
We are looking for someone who:
Has native or near-native English speaking and writing ability
Holds current teaching qualifications
Has IB teaching experience (desirable, but not essential)
Understands and is committed to the educational philosophies of the IB, specifically the Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes
Can plan, deliver, and reflect on lessons that engage and motivate students
Is able to differentiate instruction and assessment to meet individual student needs
Works collaboratively across curricular teams
Has experience working effectively within a professional team
Communicates well and builds strong relationships
Enjoys teaching in a multicultural environment
Is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy school setting
