Description of Position:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic MYP Maths Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics education, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to fostering the holistic development of our students.
Key responsibilities
Deliver engaging and interactive mathematics lessons in accordance with the MYP curriculum.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and promote inquiry-based learning.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore mathematical concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units and promote cross-curricular connections.
Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support growth and development.
Maintain open communication with parents and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching certification/license (MYP certification is an asset).
Prior experience teaching mathematics at the middle years level (MYP experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of the MYP framework and inquiry-based teaching practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Fluency in English (additional languages such as French or Arabic is a plus).
