Description of Position:

The ideal candidates are available for the 2026-2027 school year. State licensed high school teachers who understand the workload and academic rigor demanded by the International Baccalaureate (IB). This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to teach motivated students who are working towards an IB Diploma. The successful candidates will join a team of highly professional, talented, dedicated, and diverse IB teachers. Applicants without IB experience who are open to learning the paradigm are welcome, and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the core principles and practices of the IB, as well as the passion and drive required to meet that challenge. https://www.mdid.info/careers

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Teach MYP and DP Math

• Design appropriate learning experiences that match student needs.

• Design and provide meaningful feedback on formative and summative assessments.

• Improve language proficiency through subject-specific communication.

• Work independently and collaboratively to design and refine the curriculum.

• Monitor ongoing progress and assess students.

Minimum qualifications:

• valid state-issued teaching license

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education &/or relevant field

• citizen of an English speaking country (official language, MOE requirement), or APRC holder

Preferred:

• IB experience, advanced degrees, two years of experience in specific subject area

• experience with English-language learners

• demonstrates student-centered, authentic, inquiry-based, IB-aligned teaching methods

• strong English communication skills; research, writing, speaking

• demonstrates collaboration with peers

• passion for receiving and/or leading professional development seminars

• empathy, patience, resilience, grit
