Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students in the middle years of their education. They are expected to create and implement lesson plans that align with the IB curriculum framework, ensuring that students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
Key responsibilities of a Maths Teacher may include:
Planning and delivering Maths lessons: Designing and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies and resources.
Assessing student progress: Evaluating student performance through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student achievement.
Differentiating instruction: Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate students with varying abilities, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.
Creating a positive learning environment: Establishing a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Collaborating with colleagues: Working collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to develop interdisciplinary units, align curriculum, and share best practices.
Communicating with parents/guardians: Maintaining regular communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and foster a strong home-school partnership.
Professional development: Engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest research, teaching methodologies, and technological advancements in the field of science education. B.Tech/B.Sc. or M.Tech/ M.Sc. from an accredited college
Qualifications
B.Tech/B.Sc. or M.Tech/ M.Sc. from an accredited college or university
At least 4 years of full-time teaching experience in the relevant subject areas and with IB curriculum
Valid teaching certification
Proven ability to work effectively in a team, preferably involving both national and international staff
Technological skills at a level that permits creative and effective use of technology in the classroom
Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English
Ability and willingness to teach online and/or in a hybrid context as necessary
