Founded in 2009, International School of Hellerup (formerly Østerbro International School) is a not-for-profit IB Continuum World School in Copenhagen offering IB Programmes from Pre-K - Grade 12. Our mission is to provide the highest quality education in a student-centered environment by empowering individuals to fulfil their human potential to become purposeful life-long learners and responsible global citizens.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced DP Mathematics Teacher to join our High School's mathematics team in August 2023. The primary responsibilities of the DP Mathematics teacher will involve implementing the IB Programme, developing and writing curriculum, and teaching the subject's objectives. This position is initially 15% to 20% with a possibility of an increase.
The ideal candidate for this role should:
Possess a teaching degree in Mathematics or a related field of study.
Have relevant work experience with students aged 14-19 years.
Demonstrate a high level of English proficiency.
Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the best approaches to teaching for this age group.
Exhibit the ability to plan, deliver, and reflect on curriculum and lessons that stimulate, motivate, and engage students' learning and agency.
Employ strategies to ensure inclusion through universal design and differentiated instruction.
