Brief Description of History Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for IB MYP Individuals & Societies and IB DP History.
Design inquiry-based, student-centered learning experiences aligned with IB standards.
Prepare lesson plans, unit planners, assessments, and learning resources.
Assess student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies in accordance with IB criteria.
Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and research projects.
Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, debate, and independent learning.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills and IB Learner Profile attributes into teaching practices.
Maintain accurate student records, reports, and assessment documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and school initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents, coordinators, and school leadership regarding student progress.
Participate actively in professional development, school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
Uphold safeguarding policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
