HEAD OF SECONDARY - CYPRUS

Trinity Private School is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Secondary (IB) to lead and further develop our Middle and High School (MYP & DP).

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for academic excellence, team development, and the overall growth of the Secondary School within a values-driven IB environment.

You will play a central role in shaping the academic direction, culture, and student experience, building on an existing foundation and taking it to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

• Lead the delivery and development of the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes (MYP & DP)

• Ensure high academic standards, curriculum coherence, and strong student outcomes

• Oversee assessment practices and drive data-informed improvement

• IB Programme & Quality Assurance

• Ensure full compliance with IB standards and practices

• Lead IB authorization, evaluation, and accreditation processes

• Work closely with IB coordinators to maintain programme quality

• Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, support, and develop the Secondary teaching team

• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and values-driven culture

• Student Experience & Wellbeing

• Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students

• Work closely with tutors and wellbeing teams

• Promote student engagement, leadership, and personal development

• Operations & School Development

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Secondary School

• Contribute to strategic planning and school growth

• Strengthen and develop the Secondary School, building on its existing foundation

• Community & Communication

• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff

• Act as a key representative of the school community

• Maintain clear and proactive communication

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role (Head / Principal / Deputy Head or equivalent)

• Strong experience within the IB framework (MYP required, DP preferred)

• Experience with IB authorization or evaluation processes is a strong advantage

• Teaching background with the ability to engage academically with the programme

• Experience working in international and multicultural environments

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Fluency in both English and Russian is required.
