Description of Position:


We are accepting applications for an experienced High School English Teacher position.

Required:


  • Bachelor’s in English

  • Appropriate Teacher Certification

  • One year of full-time teaching experience (required by the Moroccan Ministry of Labor)


Preferred:


  • IBDP English Language & Literature experience 

  • Overseas teaching experience

  • Innovative educators who are ready to inspire students and create a stimulating and engaging learning environment

  • Open-minded and willing to learn and grow

All staff having regular unsupervised contact with children are subject to appropriate national and international vetting procedures including satisfactory criminal record checks from their country of residence within the last 10 years. US hires must obtain FBI background checks and UK hires must obtain ACRO background checks.

Salary:


Competitive salary with like-international schools in the region. Salary

is based on credential (degrees and years of experience).


Benefits:


  • Housing: A free furnished apartment 

  • Signing Bonus of 20,000 Dirhams net.

  • Utilities allowance (up to 800 Moroccan Dirhams/month).

  • Free Satellite TV & Internet (at ASM provided housing).

  • Access to the required Moroccan Family Health Insurance plan that covers 90% of most of your health care expenses.

  • A Health Assistance benefit that includes emergency medical transportation within Morocco, hospital/clinic deposits of up to 20,000DH, emergency medical home visits, and home delivery of medicines.

  • Airfare allowance as follows:  

  • Employee: 10,000 MAD (per year) 

  • Accompanying non-working Spouse (if applicable): One-time allowance of 8,000 MAD net.

  • Daily transportation (downtown – school).

  • A shipping allowance of 2,000.00 MAD.

  • A 4,000.00 Moroccan Dirhams settling-in allowance paid upon arrival.

  •  Access to a school-sponsored professional development fund. Applications are subject to approval from the School.

  • A payment to FICA representing 7.65% of your salary (American citizens).


Important Note: 

Due to restrictions from the Moroccan Ministry of Education, we are unable to offer employment contracts to individual aged 59 or above. At least one year of full-time teaching experience is also required by the Moroccan Ministry of Labor.
