Brief Description of School:


Lancers International School is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the IB PYP, MYP and

the DP. We also offer IGCSE in grades 9 - 10. The School is a co-educational day cum boarding school for students aged 18 months - 18 years. Brief Description of Digital Society and Computer Science:


Core responsibilities are:

1. Curriculum Planning and Delivery


  • Design, plan, and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons for DP Computer Science and DP Digital Society, aligned with IB

  • standards and ATL skills.

  • Integrate the MYP Design Cycle and command terms into unit planning for MYP students.

  • Use real-world, ethical, and technological case studies to explore global impacts of digital systems and societies.

  • Ensure differentiation and scaffolding to support a diverse range of learners, including EAL and SEN students.


2. Assessment and Feedback


  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria.

  • Provide constructive, timely, and personalized feedback to support student learning and growth.

  • Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to predicted grades and IB moderation processes.

  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments (Digital Society assessments, IA portfolios).


3. Learning Environment and Technology Integration


  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and inquiry-driven classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and c

  • Model effective use of technology tools (e.g., programming environments, design software, collaborative tools) in both

  • teaching and learning.

  • Encourage ethical digital citizenship and responsible use of technology.


4. Professional Development and Collaboration


Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and stay updated on trends in computer science, AI, data ethics,

cyber security, and global digital trends.

Collaborate with other subject teachers and participate in interdisciplinary planning, especially in STEAM/STEM initiatives.


5. Contribution to School Life and IB Philosophy


  • Uphold the IB learner profile and support international

  • Support students in design portfolio projects media, ethics, and technology.

  • Participate in school excursions or field trips related to innovation and technology
