Roles and Responsibilities of MYPC:

The holder of this position will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will report to the Head of School (HOS). The position will usually be held along with some teaching responsibilities. The MYPC will be directly responsible for the following:

Developing and Implementing the MYP curriculum in the school. The MYPC will be the school’s liaison person with the IBO for the MYP.
Ensuring that the curriculum thus formulated is implemented by monitoring teachers and students
Ensure that all MYP assessments are conducted and properly reported to the MYP community of parents
Ensure all teachers maintain their daily log books and attendance registers in accordance with the current guidelines
Ensure effective discipline of students in the MYP by implementing all the related policies and guidelines such as regularity, uniform, general decorum and student behaviour. Ensure that follow up reporting to parents is done either by the home - room teacher or personally.
Organize and supervise school events. This includes delegating duties and responsibilities to other staff and ensuring that events are conducted and carried out smoothly and systematically.
