Østerbro International School) is a not-for-profit IB Continuum World School in Copenhagen offering IB Programmes from Pre-K - Grade 12. International School of Hellerup (ISH) is seeking a motivated university student to join our Outreach & Communications Team as an unpaid intern for 5–6 months. This hands-on role offers real-world experience in school communications, marketing, and community engagement within an international IB World School environment serving over 700 students from 70+ nationalities in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Duration: 5–6 months
Start date: Flexible
Commitment: Minimum 3 days per week (ideally full-time)
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
This internship is ideal for students studying Communications, Marketing, Media, International Relations, Education, or similar fields who are eager to gain professional experience in an international education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
The specific responsibilities for this internship will be tailored to the candidate’s profile, strengths, and areas of interest. Interns will be assigned a focused set of tasks that allow them to make meaningful progress and develop professional competence in selected areas. Depending on the candidate, responsibilities may include:
Creating or supporting content for social media, newsletters, or the school website
Assisting with photography, video, and storytelling projects
Supporting the planning and communication around school events and outreach initiatives
Assisting with digital communications, including basic website updates
Contributing to specific projects within marketing, branding, or community engagement
Supporting SEO optimisation and website performance improvements
The final task portfolio will be defined in collaboration with the selected intern to ensure alignment with their goals and ISH’s priorities.
Who We Are Looking For
You are:
A current university student (or recent graduate)
Interested in communications, marketing, education, or international environments
A strong communicator in English (written and spoken)
Creative, proactive, and well-organized
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Interested in gaining experience in an international school setting
Experience with social media, graphic design tools, photography, or video editing is a plus, but not a requirement
