IB World School

Follows the School’s philosophy of child development to promote the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and spiritual growth of the children.
Plan and execute a clearly defined environment that is arranged to promote independence, foster decision-making and encourage initiative and involvement. Learning Centers need to be set aside for dramatic play, block building, art, language and Math. Curriculum should support social competence. The classroom must reflect the PYP unit of Inquiry being studied by changing the environment and putting up documentation of the children’s learning process. Student learner profile and PYP attitudes should be prominently displayed and referred to during class time.
Observe the children and document their progress in order to plan further learning and to evaluate and assess their development.
Develop a collaborative relationship with teachers, co-teachers and other school staff. Have daily discussions with members of your teaching team along with scheduled weekly team meetings to coordinate work and strengthen collaboration.
Encourage parent involvement by inviting the parents to the class and working closely with them on their child’s learning. Be available for parent conference two times a year.
