PYP COORDINATOR / TEACHER - NORWAY

Aalesund International School (AaIS) is a young and growing school located in Aalesund, Norway. The school is an authorized PYP/MYP International Baccalaureate school and has around 120 students.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated and experienced IB PYP primary years teacher and combined PYP coordinator to join our team. The role comes with homeroom teacher responsibilities and the candidate will be a member of the school’s pedagogical leadership team.
PYP Coordinator:
Previous experience as PYP coordinator
Minimum 5 years experience from IB
Experience with IB evaluation or authorisation
Proven track record with teacher training and guidance
PYP – Primary Teacher
Extensive experience with the International Baccalaureate program and commitment to its educational philosophies
Relevant IB experience and training
Ability to meet high expectations of the school community (students, colleagues, parents, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal ability and the capacity to build and maintain close relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Integrity and a strong work ethic
Commitment to high academic standards
Good organization and time management skills
A high level of cultural awareness and international-mindedness
Provide pastoral care and support to children within a secure learning environment
Assist with the development of a child's personal, social and language abilities
Norwegian national requirements:
Recognized teaching qualification from before 2014, or teaching qualification minimum 1 year qualification of mathematics and literacy (30 European Credit Transfer and accumulation (ECTSs) or equivalent per subject)
A master’s degree is preferable
Reports to Principal and the General Manager (GM)
