Aalesund International School (AaIS) is a young and growing school located in Aalesund, Norway. The school is an authorized PYP/MYP International Baccalaureate school and has around 120 students.
AaIS is looking to employ a positive, energetic and creative Performing Art Teacher to join our dynamic team
Performing Arts teacher
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated Primary- and Middle Years performing arts teacher to join our school from August 2023. Experience with the International Baccalaureate is an advantage. The teacher is also responsible for developing the school ensemble.
Qualifications and Qualities Required
Experience with the International Baccalaureate program and commitment to its educational philosophies
Preferably a Masters degree in Performing Arts, Music, or as a minimum meet the national requirements: minimum 1 year qualification of Performing arts (60 ECT) in addition to recognized teaching degree.
Ability to meet high expectations of the school community (students, colleagues, parents, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to build and maintain close relationships
Strong ICT skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Integrity and a strong work ethic
A high level of cultural awareness and international-mindedness
Reports to the Principal and General manager
