Description of School:

Preshil is a small, secular and progressive co-educational school for ages 3 and 4 through to Year 12. Description of Position:

Preshil is seeking an IB DP Business Manager and MYP Humanities Teacher, who is ideally an experienced IB educator, to fill a Long Service Leave position for Term 1 of 2022. Preference will be given to teachers with experience in the International Baccalaureate.

  • This is a full time, Long Service Leave replacement position for Term 1, commencing 24 January and concluding 8 April 2022

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold current VIT registration

General role description

The IB DP Business Management & MYP Humanities Teacher is expected to:

  • carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for assigned classes, programs and students

  • be responsible for the day-to-day learning and management of classes and the safety and welfare of the students, during on-site and off-site activities

  • promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education

  • demonstrate outstanding discipline-based knowledge and experience in the subject areas

  • ensure that appropriate student records are maintained

  • create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to student learning

  • encourage and initiate opportunities for student feedback on their learning and classroom experience

  • carry out other duties as directed by the Principal
