Description of Position:
We are looking to employ a qualified and experienced IB MYP Danish Language Acquisition Teacher to join our Middle School’s Language Acquisition team. This is a part time, 60% maternity cover position from August 8 until November 18th, 2022. The role of the Danish Language Acquisition maternity cover teacher will be to facilitate learning for emergent Danish language learners, develop and write curriculum with the Danish team and teach the objectives of the subject. Experience in teaching Danish is required and MYP experience is desired.
The successful candidate should:
Have native or near-native English and Danish speaking and writing abilities.
Have knowledge of, and a commitment to, the educational philosophies of the
International Baccalaureate, specifically relating to the Middle Years Programme.
Have the ability to plan, deliver and reflect on lessons which stimulate and motivate
Have the ability to differentiate instruction and assessments for students.
Have the ability to work and plan in collaboration within different curricular teams.
Have experience in working with a team of professionals.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be organized and reliable.
Enjoy teaching and working in a multicultural environment.
