Description of Position:


Middle School Individuals and Societies Teacher


All ISH teachers nurture students to become courageous and caring global citizens. The role of the Individuals and Societies teacher will be to implement, develop and write curriculum, teaching the objectives that will lead to a better world.


The position is part-time and will require the candidate to:


  • Have a degree in teaching and a social science or related field of study Have a high level of English Proficiency

  • Have the ability to plan, deliver and reflect on lessons which stimulate and motivate student learning and agency.

  • Have the ability to differentiate instruction and assessments for students. Have outstanding collaboration skills

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Be organized and reliable.

  • Employ strategies to empower a diverse group of students

  • Engage actively and enthusiastically contribute to a positive school environment Have knowledge of, and experience with, the educational philosophies and practices of the International Baccalaureate, specifically relating to the Middle Years Programmes (preferred)

  • Have the ability to teach another MYP subject.
