The board of governors is looking to appoint an outstanding Founding head of School for Romerike International School. The position will commence in March 2021 and the students will start in August 2021. The founding head of school will provide leadership and vision by serving as the learning leader of the school. A cross-cultural awareness and understanding and a willingness to immerse in the local community to support the school’s growth and development.
Romerike International School is a mainly state funded international school, which will be housed in brand new facilities in the municipality of Nes, 30 minutes drive north of Oslo, and 20 minutes drive from Oslo Airport (Gardermoen). The school has been established as a non-profit making foundation with outline permission from the Norwegian Department of Education to have a total of 200 students from grades 1 to 10. The school aims to become an IB World School, with English as the medium of instruction. The school will also be required to fulfil the legal requirements in accordance with the Norwegian state.
