Brief Description of School: Rahn Schulen Kairo is a German school abroad, which is 100% funded by Rahn Education as a German non-profit educational organization. At Rahn Schulen Kairo, the Gemischtsprachiges International Baccaleurate (GIB/ Bilingual IBDP in German and English) is awarded as a recognized school-leaving certificate by the IBO and the KMK for German schools abroad.
The quality of Rahn Schulen Kairo is regularly audited by HZA (Hanseatische Zertifizierungsagentur) as an independent, German certification agency.
Description of Position:
The IBDP Coordinator is the educational leader of the program of study for grades 11-12 and is responsible for ensuring that teaching and learning meet IB expectations, internationally recognized standards, and research-based best practices.
The IB Coordinator is a key leadership position at RSK and is responsible for the coordination and development of the IB Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12. The IB Coordinator is involved in the implementation of the IB programs throughout the school and is the direct contact for the IBO on matters pertaining to the Diploma Programme. The IB Coordinator is a member of the RSK educational leadership team.
Your tasks
You will provide educational leadership for the program of study for grades 11-12
You will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with the IB's internationally recognized standards and research-based best practices
You will be the point of contact for IB teachers, students and the IBO on matters pertaining to the Diploma Program
In collaboration with the leadership and staff, you will ensure the delivery of high quality and challenging educational and teaching activities
You will ensure continuous development of individual support for students* in accordance with the IB's quality program
Qualifications
Qualification as a teacher with appropriate professional and subject competence ( knowledge about the quality of teaching, about appropriate educational action and about the assigned area of responsibility)
Experience in a management function of a teaching institution
Social and communication skills (especially the ability to communicate and cooperate with school and non-school committees as well as institutions)
Critical faculties and the ability to deal with conflict
Media competence (especially in the areas of information and communication technology applications and teaching software)
Organizational skills
Reliability, diligence, punctuality
Customer-oriented action
Experience in administrative activities of an educational institution is an advantage
