Founded in 2009, International School of Hellerup is a not-for-profit IB Continuum World School in Copenhagen offering IB Programmes from Pre-K - Grade 12. Our mission is to provide the highest quality education in a student-centered environment by empowering individuals to fulfil their human potential to become purposeful life-long learners and responsible global citizens.
The Position
We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer. The COO is a senior management position providing leadership and vision to ensure the organisation meets its short-term and long-term objectives. They will help to create and develop policies and a culture that strengthens the operational efficiency and revenue for the school. This is a full time position.
Their main duties and responsibilities include:
Oversight of the day to day operational and corresponding administrative functions of the school
Leading the Administrative staff, IT department, Communications, Facilities and Lunch Service
Operationalizing the school's business strategy
Driving cost efficiencies
Business process analysis, design and improvement to facilitate operational excellence
Standardizing, documenting and implementing robust procedures to underpin service delivery
Achieving performance outcomes through the implementation of effective talent management and performance management practices
Embedding and nurturing a values and performance-driven employee culture
Mitigating key business risks through environmental scanning and the design and implementation of operational controls
Identifying and negotiating key strategic partnerships to drive efficiency and economies of scale
Developing marketing and sales capabilities to ensure the sustainable growth of the school
The chief operating officer reports to Head of School.
