Working Relationships: Works collaboratively with; Principal, Vice Principal, Curriculum Director, administration and support staff, teaching teams, IB Coordinators, Student representatives.
Working Hours: 100% as per contract.
Qualifications Required: Minimum Bachelor degree
Compensation and Benefits: Monthly stipend of 2500 RMB pre-tax

Description of the Role
The Athletics Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive sports programme, including interschool events.
Responsible for development, implementation, review and oversight of the Athletics programme.
Works closely with the staff and administration to develop policies and procedures I.e. code of conduct, risk assessments, staffing ratios, medical procedures etc, which is consistent with the goals of the school.
Troubleshoots the day to day operation of the program.
Assumes the responsibility for the safety and welfare of students at all times on or off the campus.
Organises coaches and sponsors.
Schedules games and competitions.
Provides transportation for all away athletics and activities.
Provides officials for all home competition.
Provides supervision for home competition.
Provides adequate practice and playing facilities and assists with the care of athletic and activities facilities.
Ensures all necessary information relating to students is collected, stored and updated as necessary e.g. consent forms, medical forms
Liaises and organizes all necessary travel documentation for all sports related trips.
Liaises with other schools, and represents Wahaha International School at sport network meetings and activities
Budget, Ordering and Resource Management
Budgets for and purchases all equipment and uniforms.
Assists in the requisitioning and issuing of athletic and activities equipment.
Assists in maintaining an inventory of all athletic and activities equipment.
Coordinates and budgets the transportation for all athletic programs.
Participates cooperatively in the development of the school budget.
Communication and Collaboration
Responds to all parent and staff questions, issues, concerns
Ensures all media opportunities are fully exploited through school publications
Maintain a commitment to professional ethics, international mindedness, and the school’s mission and core values; and take responsibility for professional learning that results in enhancement of student learning.
To be a positive representative in the community by reflecting the values of the Guiding Statements (mission, vision and core values)
Supports and upholds all school policies

Participates as required in the preparation for IB authorisations and evaluations, as well as for accreditation visits.

Prior coaching experience preferably in a variety of sports
