Description of School:
International School of Hellerup is looking to employ a qualified and experienced Science teacher to join their secondary school’s Science team.
The International School of Hellerup was founded in 2009 to meet the needs of the International English-speaking community in Copenhagen. It is a not-for-profit IB World School for students aged 3-18 offering the three main International Baccaleaureate (IB) programmes: PYP, MYP and DP.
Description of Position:
The role of the science teacher would be to implement the MYP programme, develop and write curriculum, and teach to the objectives of the subjects. We require that the candidate has qualifications to teach MYP Science. The position is a full-time one year cover with a posibility of extention.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Have native or near-native English speaking and writing abilities.
Have current teaching qualifications and proven IB teaching experience.
Have knowledge of, and a commitment to, the educational philosophies of the International Baccalaureate, specifically relating to the Middle Years Programmes.
Have the ability to plan, deliver and reflect on lessons which stimulate and motivate student learning.
Have the ability to differentiate instruction and assessments for students.
Have the capability to instil confidence and an understanding of scientific concepts in students.
Have the ability to work and plan in collaboration within different curricular teams.
Have the experience in leading a team of professionals.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be organized and reliable.
Enjoy teaching and working in a multi-cultural environment.
